I used to sleep in the standard size of ultra-soft plugs from the same brand. Here’s what I think.Apologies in advance in case this review, due to its comparison to other earplugs I didn’t like, was automatically sorted by the AI summary bot into a negative pile — please beware that that is not true as these purple earplugs are a good start, if not far better for small-ear-folks like me.Due to my small ear canal, the earplugs on the left were putting too much pressure on my ear. They, like all standard-size earplugs, would:1) fall out;2) put so much pressure on my ear canal that I started hearing pulsations or ringing, often so bad that I had to take them out at the cost of a good night’s sleep;3) made it extremely uncomfotrable to turn my head on the pillow. As a side-sleeper, I simply cannot relax lying on my back or chest, so wearing earplugs that go all the way into the ear canal, allowing for my head to turn on its side, is a matter of life and excessive consumption of caffeine. To those who are interested what my background noise landscape is like: one of the major UK highways with a crossing in front of my window (so much for it being double-glazed); heavy trucks regularly falling into a pothole on the said crossing; cars and bikes with removed mufflers; rhapsodies on a Friday-Saturday pub night; house noises such as door slamming, stomping above my bedroom at 3-4 am, water pipes hammering whenever someone opens a tap or runs a laundry machine. Hope that helps. In any case, previous earplugs were simply too much for my ears. The slim fit ones are just as easy to use, but fit much more comfrotably in my ears, even though the size difference is quite little as shown in photos. It’s still not a perfect fit and I can feel them at night when I turn my head, but I’m a relatively new person to wearing earplugs. And most importantly, the sensation is nowhere near to being painful. It might be a matter of habit, years of wear experience, personal sensitivity etc…What I noticed with both models, however, is that even with a rather uncomfrotable fit of the standard-size plugs, I woke up in a refreshed state—unless they fell out of course. I can also attest that earplugs in general, at least for me, may make it a bit weird trying to fall asleep, but when I wake up on my own instead of being jolted awake by a random external noise, my delight is immesuarable. It’s the kind of nirvana that only peope who live in a noisy place will udnerstand. It’s not at the point where I’d stop hating on Mondays, but at least now we have a truce. You might also have noticed that different fits of earplugs have different sound cancellation capacity, up to 33 dB and 33 dB. Is there any significant difference in practice? I wouldn’t say so; I think now that the sound cancellation finally met the comfort, I wouldn’t notice as I’m not at all sensitive to soft or suppressed sounds, which are kind of far away. It’s harsh and intermittent noises that really bother me. However, the fit and therefore sound cancellation capabilites is ultimatey down to the unique anatomy of your ear canal. It might be not only smaller but also shorter than most ear plugs can offer, therefore causing even slim fits to fall out. I’d recommend not to waste any more money on trial-and-errors if that always results in error, and consider custom-made earplugs. These slim fits never fell out of my ears. I can’t speak to their durability because I bin a pair every morning due to bad experiences with ear infections from multi-use ear plugs in the past.Last word on the color choice: I like it. I personally associate purple with relaxation and zen, lavender, that sort of thing.I don’t usually write reviews this long, but seeing how ridiculously difficult it is to find a good pair of plugs for a seemingly common ear size, decided to unleash my inner Shakespeare for this one. Hope some of it helped you decide.
Very soft and comfortable. Block out some noise but my hubby is a loud snorer so weren’t completely effective. Do definitely muffle week though and would be good for use on aeroplanes. I found them difficult to get in as I have really small ear canals, but once in, they stayed put. Best ones I’ve tried so far.
Absolutely fantastic for my tiny ears, and no irritation whatsoever, they block out all noise. I have a portable AC unit in my bedroom it’s soooo noisy, these earplugs block out that noise, and I stay cool all night, I’m so happy with these I could kiss the person who suggested making them for small ears with tiny ear canals.
- I have small ear canals- I’m a light sleeper- I have a husband who snores!Having tried many different (and more expensive) ear plugs most of which made my ears hurt, I decided to try these.I used them last night for the first time and can say I am very impressed. It did take a couple of attempts to put them in properly but once fitted, they stayed in all night with no issues. I slept though the night even though my husband had drunk 3 or 4 beers which is usually a sure sign for him to snore. Did he snore? Who knows? I didn’t hear him 🤣
These earplugs are great!. They fit snugly in my ears, and my sleep quality has improved so much. They block out noise effectively, so I no longer wake up multiple times during the night because of snoring. They’re also reasonably priced, and each pair lasts around 2–4 days before needing to be replaced.
Couldn't live without them now. The best earplugs ever for small ear canals. Life savers. Worth every penny.
Excellent for smaller ears
Used these for years they are the best for my tiny ears
They are what it says they are and they work 😁. What more can you want? Fits in my ears and they don't feel uncomfortable.
Really like these. have long used mack's standard ear plugs and also the pink 'dreamgirl' ones and these are more comfortable than both.
Neighbours were really loud at some point and this helped sleep.
Turns out, earplugs are NOT supposed to hurt, who knew? These fit so comfortably, even with my inner ear piercings. I’m a side sleeper and have had no discomfort or lost plugs in the night. The noise reduction is much better than I’ve had with any standard sized earplugs (probably because they actually fit). I find they cut out most ambient noise that prevents me from sleeping, but if someone came into the room and spoke to me I would hear them, if a bit muffled.
My son says it’s an incredible product! Slept soundly with no noise disturbance's!
Great product, speedy delivery
Perfect
These earplugs work brilliantly for the whole family. We’ve tried so many others, some expand so much they practically try to evict your eardrums. These ones don’t. They’re comfy, they stay put, and yes, they’re a bit pricey… but honestly, after the number we’ve tested, they’re worth every penny
I have had known brand earplugs before but even the smallest size were hurting me. Then I got these, although only 4db less than the other brand. Its such a relief to wake up in a pain free and good mood.
Perfect for anyone who struggles with normal size plugs. They're soft, reduce the noise, they stay where they're put. Colour does not matter but it's fun :)
I’ve tried a few different ones in the past and these are the ones I like best. They are better for smaller ear canals like it says. But make sure you get them in the right position in the ear canal for comfort and then they do work effectively.
These were recommended to me by my sister in law. Well, to be honest.. they are a perfect fit for my small ears. You need to roll them nice and pointy and pop into your ear canal. They then expand to fit and block out noises! The colour is my favourite which helps! They stay in all night and help my quality of sleep. There is a nice box which is handy to keep them nice and clean and portable!
These are really good as they are slim and fit nicely, and reduces the noise, the bigger ones make my ears sore
I have very narrow ear canals and I have struggled to find proper ear plugs for years. Usually they just fall out or they hurt. these stay in all night and are comfortable!
You need these if your man snores like a freight train... but all other ear plus hurt your ears.I will be honest, I can still hear him, but its bare-able and I can now sleep.
Very happy with this
I have very narrow ear canals and need plugs to wear on motorcycle. These were easy to insert and didn’t budge, even putting crash helmet on.
The earplugs were fine, but I couldn't get them in my ears. I tried any times, but have small ear canals so they weren't suitable fior me
Love these earplugs, they mould perfectly in my small ears. I live in a very busy and loud neighbourhood and these block out noises so well!! Not all noise but it muffles enough for me to sleep the whole night and I am a VERY light sleeper. Would not survive without these earplugs
Better than no name ones.
Blocks out a lot of snoring noise, my right ear canal is narrow so use these. Comfortable and easy to put in.
